The Lions were tied for seventh last year with 43 sacks, and Ansah led the way with 14.5. Ansah hasn’t forgotten the 0-5 start last year that wrecked any realistic hope of having a winning season. Rotation help: The Lions are hoping for a reserve on the defensive line to give them the sack production they got from nonstarters the last two seasons. They ranked last in the NFL with an average of 83.4 yards per game, and they’ve gone 36 games without an individual 100-yard rushing game.
