Zurlon Tipton, who played parts of the past two seasons for the Indianapolis Colts, accidentally shot himself Tuesday at a Roseville, Mich., car dealership and has died at age 26.
According to FOX2Detroit.com, Police said Tipton pulled into a service bay at the dealership Tuesday morning and moved a duffel bag out of his trunk.
Police reportedly expected Tipton to survive given that he was speaking with others at the dealership before being transported to the hospital.
But the Wayne County Medical Examiner confirmed to FOX2Detroit.com on Tuesday afternoon that Tipton was the person shot and that he passed away after leaving the dealership.
Tipton, an undrafted free agent running back who played college football at Central Michigan, spent time on both the Colts' roster and practice squad the past two seasons.
