Dr. Heather Bennett, the Director of Equity Services in Pennsylvania School Boards, started her education career with Teach For America’s two year corps program. The two year corps program spans over 53 regions across the nation. For Bennett, she started teaching in Atlanta, Georgia. Bennett noticed that he became more confident inside the classroom as well; he was raising his hand, answering questions and taking chances.
For Bennett, leading meant changing the approach to teaching.
Bennett is now the Director of Equity Services in the Pennsylvania School Boards Association where she works with over 4,500 school directors in the 500 school districts in Pennsylvania.
Bennett has become one of the 55,000 Teach For America’s alumni and corps members, many of whom are committed to driving impact and enduring change in education.
