Festival organizers Golden Voice and AEG Live are finalizing plans to have Gaga perform, Billboard learned. | iHeartRadio - From iHeartRadio
The outlet learned on Tuesday that festival organizers Golden Voice and AEG Live are close to finalizing plans to have Gaga perform at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California on April 15 and 22.
The news comes five days after Beyonce’s reps announced her cancellation due to doctor’s orders.
The Lemonade artist, who is pregnant with twins, moved her appearance to 2018.
In a statement to The Associated Press last Thursday, Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment and Goldenvoice said the singer had to pull out of the festival "following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months." It was important for Coachella to find another female act to replace Beyonce, an insider whispered to Billboard.
The lineup was first announced in January, billing Radiohead on Friday with the xx and Mac Miller, Beyonce on Saturday with DJ Snake, Future, and Martin Garrix, and Kendrick Lamar on Sunday with Lorde, DJ Khaled, Tove Lo, and others.
