Not all clowns are terrifying, just some of them.
Photo via Flickr user Silver Tusk If the Great Killer Clown Craze of 2016 was funny when it appeared to be a seemingly innocuous lie from some elementary school kids in South Carolina, it stopped being funny by the time real, non-murderous clowns started getting stigmatized and actual disturbed people were attacking subway riders.
Some clowns in Arizona definitely aren't laughing, at least not on the inside.
In an effort to win back some hearts and minds of our nation, they are reportedly planning a "Clown Lives Matter" march to "show [that] clowns are not psycho killers," the local ABC affiliate reports.
"So come out, bring the family, meet a clown, and get a hug!" Unfortunately, whoever made the clown flyer inexplicably used a terrifying image of an evil clown and some bleeding-letter font while designing it, which doesn't quite complement the "clowns are upstanding members of society" message—and raises the possibility that the march, like so much of these clown stories, is just someone's idea of a joke.
