Campbell Soup has issued a recall for approximately 4,185 pounds of chicken soup due to misbranding of the products.
The recall comes after multiple consumers complained that their products labeled "Campbell's Homestyle Healthy Request Chicken with Whole Grain Pasta" contained "Campbell's Homestyle Healthy Request Italian-Style Wedding Spinach & Meatballs in Chicken Broth." Milk is included in the latter meaning that a known allergen isn't printed on the label.
There have been no confirmed incidents because of the mistake, but the U.S.
It has been labeled as a Class I recall, meaning "there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death." They also advise that affected products be thrown away or returned to their place of purchase.
